5 Claude prompts for viral content

The same fact about your niche can be served up dull, or served up so people watch it to the end and save it — and the difference usually isn't the content, it's how many roles the text passed through before you published. Below are five Claude prompts that cover the whole chain: from post idea to the final polish. All of them are given in full, nothing abbreviated.

Why a chain beats a single prompt

Asking for "write a viral post" gets you nothing: the model doesn't know what's already overdone in your niche or what your particular audience reacts to. A chain of five narrow roles solves that piece by piece — first an idea that breaks the template, then a hook for it, then a format that needs no face or voice, and finally two rewriting passes: one for attention retention, one for expert tone. Each prompt takes the previous one's output as input.

Prompt 1 — an idea that breaks the niche pattern

The job isn't an idea in general, it's an idea that deliberately contradicts what everyone in your niche keeps publishing on repeat.

You are a social media growth strategist.

Analyse my niche and identify the 7 most overused content patterns
that get repeated in it over and over.

Then create 10 post ideas that break those patterns without losing
compatibility with the algorithm.

For each idea give: the concept, a potential hook, the best format,
why it feels fresh, and why it could earn saves and reposts.

Niche: [NICHE]
Audience: [AUDIENCE]
Goal of the post: [GOAL]

Prompt 2 — 15 hooks across five categories

The hook decides whether anyone watches at all. This prompt asks not for one option but for a spread across different psychological mechanics — and asks it to explain the best picks.

You are a viral social media copywriter.

Come up with 15 opening hooks for this idea, split into 5 categories:
curiosity, contrarian take, emotional tension, specificity
and implied authority.

Every hook must stop the scroll without clickbait — it should sound smart,
native and strong. At the end pick the top 5 and explain why those.

Idea: [IDEA]
Audience: [AUDIENCE]
Tone: [TONE]

Prompt 3 — one idea, three faceless formats

Not everyone wants to — or can — put themselves on camera. This prompt turns an idea into three formats that need no face, no voice and no complex editing.

You are a faceless social media content strategist.

Turn this idea into 3 formats: a carousel, a text-based reel and a quiet
visual post. No face, no voice, no trending audio, no complex editing.

For each option give: the structure, the on-screen text, the visual
direction, the caption and the call to action.

Idea: [IDEA]
Audience: [AUDIENCE]
Goal: [GOAL]

Prompt 4 — rewrite for attention retention

The draft is ready, but watch-through isn't decided by the idea — it's decided by whether every line pulls you into the next one. That's a separate rewriting pass.

You are a social media audience retention specialist.

Rewrite this content to maximise watch time, completion rate,
saves and reposts.

Every line must pull the reader into the next one — cut the weak parts,
make the tone lively and sharp, with no advertising intonation.

Then briefly explain why the new version is better than the original.

Content: [PASTE TEXT]
Voice: [VOICE]
Audience: [AUDIENCE]

Prompt 5 — rewrite for expert positioning

The last pass isn't about retention, it's about how the text reads: as an expert statement, or as an attempt to sell.

You are a brand positioning specialist.

Rewrite my content so that it conveys competence and authority —
without the guru persona, without bragging about numbers, without arrogance.

Use precise wording and quiet confidence instead of exclamation marks.

Give 3 versions: elegant, direct and premium.

Content: [PASTE TEXT]
Audience: [AUDIENCE]
Brand voice: [VOICE]

How to run it all in one pass

Prompts 1-3 go one after another in a single conversation: idea → hook → format, never a new chat, so Claude keeps the niche and audience context. Prompts 4 and 5 are applied to the finished draft — retention first, then positioning on top of that result. Order matters: rewriting for expert tone is best done last, otherwise the next pass loosens the tone again.

How we do it

We test chains like this on our own material before a prompt goes into the knowledge base — if a prompt produces fluff after several runs across different niches, it doesn't get published. It's the same principle the qvib engine is built on: a layer of vetted prompts and skills on top of the model, rather than one universal request for everything.
