What it does
A skill for producing beautiful visuals in .png and .pdf through a design philosophy. It works in two phases: first it states an aesthetic direction (form, space, color, composition) as a mini-manifesto, then it expresses that direction in a "museum-quality" artifact where "information lives in the design, not in paragraphs" and typography is a visual element in its own right. It composes original work rather than copying someone else's.
How to set it up
Ships as part of the example-skills bundle:
/plugin install example-skills@anthropic-agent-skills
Or drop the canvas-design/ folder into ~/.claude/skills/.
When to reach for it
- A poster, cover, key visual or one-pager as a graphic (not as a web page).
- You want something that looks designed by an artist, not pulled from stock.
Example
"Make a product launch poster in the Swiss typography style" — the skill will describe the art direction and render a .png/.pdf that follows it.
