What it does
Connects ChatGPT to Canva: you describe what you need and the GPT generates options for designs (social posts, presentations, logos, covers) and hands back links so you can open and refine them in the Canva editor. Design by conversation, with no manual layout from scratch.
It's the official GPT from Canva; their AI engine Magic Studio has, according to OpenAI, been used 5B+ times — the scale of the ecosystem you're plugging into.
How to set it up
- Open chatgpt.com/g/g-alKfVrz9K-canva → Start Chat.
- On your first design the GPT will ask you to connect your Canva account (OAuth) — grant access.
When to use it
- ✅ A quick visual draft you'll finish off in Canva: a social post, a simple deck, a logo idea.
- ✅ You don't want to start from a blank canvas — you need a starting layout.
- ❌ For pixel-perfect brand design — that's hands-on work in Canva/Figma itself; the GPT gives you a rough cut.
