What it is and why
DashaMail is a Russian email marketing service with an emphasis on deliverability (getting mail into the inbox instead of the spam folder) and readable analytics. Russian interface, ruble billing, a friendly start. Reach for it when email is your main channel and it genuinely matters that messages arrive, plus you want simple A/B tests and reports without enterprise-grade complexity.
How to do it (step by step)
- Sign up at dashamail.ru — there's a free plan, and billing is in rubles.
- Set up your sending domain. Add DKIM/SPF/DMARC records (DashaMail gives you the values) — this is the key to deliverability and to mailbox providers trusting you.
- Upload your list — only addresses that have consented to receive mail (152-FZ). The service will validate them.
- A subscription form with double opt-in (confirmation) so the list grows legally and clean.
- The email in the block editor, always with an "unsubscribe" link; avoid spam trigger words and clickbait preheaders (they affect inbox placement).
- A/B test. Try 2 subject lines on part of the list → the winner goes to everyone else.
- Send or schedule it, plus trigger-based automated sequences.
- Deliverability analytics. Watch bounces and spam complaints, prune dead addresses — otherwise your reputation drops and everything lands in spam.
Ready-made recipe
A regular newsletter with high deliverability: set up DKIM/SPF/DMARC → the list is built through a double opt-in form → every week a digest: A/B two subject lines on 20% of the list → the winner goes to the remaining 80% → after each send, clear out bounces and anyone inactive for 6 months → once a quarter, run a re-engagement email to the dormant segment → deliverability stays high and inbox placement climbs. Pair it with a Tilda landing page as the subscriber source.
What it costs (honestly)
The logic: a free plan with a cap on subscribers and emails. Paid plans go by list size or by number of emails, priced in rubles. Exact figures are on dashamail.ru and they change.
When it fits / when it doesn't
- Fits: email is your main channel; deliverability matters; you want a Russian service and ruble billing; a simple start with analytics and A/B; a small or medium list.
- Doesn't fit: you need omnichannel or a CDP (Sendsay); you need messengers (Senler/BotHelp); you don't have a consented list.
Risks and responsibility
152-FZ: only send to a list with consent, use a double opt-in form, and put an "unsubscribe" link in every email. A bad list and spam complaints kill deliverability and can bring fines. Advertising someone else's product in an email requires ORD labeling. See the section disclaimer.
🤖 Prompt helper
You are an email deliverability specialist. My newsletter is about "{topic}", the list is {size/source}. Give me: (1) a plain-language checklist for setting up the domain (DKIM/SPF/DMARC); (2) what in the email hurts deliverability and how to rewrite it; (3) a plan for A/B testing subject lines; (4) a routine for cleaning the list. Practical, step by step.
