What it is and why
Utilities and quizzes are ready-made value you can ship in an evening: the official @QuizBot from Telegram builds tests and quizzes (an excellent lead magnet and engagement tool), and there is a pile of bots for polls, reminders and file conversion. Reach for them when you need a quick quiz lead magnet ("take the test — see your result") or some interactivity for your audience without development.
How to set it up (step by step)
- A quiz via @QuizBot (the official Telegram bot): start it → create a test → add questions with options and correct answers → set the timer and explanations.
- Get the quiz link → post it in your channel, a post or an ad as a "take the test" lead magnet.
- Engagement: a quiz in the channel lifts activity and reach.
- Collecting contacts (if you want a lead magnet that captures): @QuizBot itself does not collect contacts — for that, wire it to a bot builder (SaleBot/BotHelp): the quiz → an offer to leave a contact based on the result (with consent).
- Other utilities (polls, reminders, converters): for third-party bots, check the author and reputation and never upload sensitive files.
- Keep a fallback — free bots can change their terms or disappear.
Ready-made recipe
A quiz as a lead magnet: a post in the channel says "Find out your level in {topic} — take the test" → a link to the quiz (@QuizBot or one built in a builder) → the person takes it and gets their result → at the end comes the offer "want a breakdown? leave your contact" (through the builder bot, with personal-data consent) → the contact goes to the CRM and the person enters a warm-up sequence. The interactivity engages and harvests warm leads at the same time.
What it costs (honestly)
How it works: @QuizBot is free (it is official Telegram). Third-party utilities are usually free or limited; lead capture through a builder costs whatever the builder's plan costs. All of it changes.
When it fits / when it doesn't
- Fits: you need a quick quiz or test as a lead magnet; audience engagement; polls and quizzes; free and with no development.
- Doesn't fit: you need a complex funnel with capture and CRM (use a bot builder); uptime is critical (free bots are unstable); sensitive data or files are involved.
Risks and responsibility (Telegram specifics)
- For third-party utility bots, check the author and reputation — @QuizBot is official, but plenty of utilities are not.
- Never upload sensitive files (documents, personal data) to unverified bots — they go who knows where.
- Collecting contacts through a quiz means personal data (152-FZ): you need consent to process it (a checkbox or confirmation at the moment the contact is left).
- Free bots can change their terms or vanish — do not build critical processes on them without a fallback.
- Advertising inside a quiz or posts requires ORD labelling. See the section disclaimer.
🤖 Prompt helper
You are a marketer specialising in interactive lead magnets. The niche is "{niche}", the audience is {who}. Help me: (1) come up with a topic and 5-7 questions for a quiz lead magnet (@QuizBot) that genuinely hook people; (2) write the answer options and the "type" results; (3) collect a contact gently at the end of the quiz with personal-data consent; (4) connect it to a warm-up funnel. Write the questions in Russian, and make them engaging.
